Torino Rejects River Plate's Offer to Sign Giovanni Simeone

River Plate received a significant setback in their pursuit of signing Argentine striker Giovanni Simeone, after the Italian club Torino rejected the Argentine club's offer of 9 million euros.

River's management is moving decisively to strengthen the team before the start of the second half of the season under the leadership of coach Eduardo Coudet. However, the Italian club's stance appears to be very firm.

According to the Argentine network Tyc, Torino considered the offer insufficient, even though it is two million euros more than what the Italian club previously paid to acquire the player from Napoli. Torino officials also emphasized that they do not wish to part with the striker, who is considered one of the key players in the team.

River Plate hopes that Giovanni Simeone can pressure his club's management to convince them to sit at the negotiating table, as the player is expected to hold a meeting with Torino officials to discuss his future. However, current indications suggest that the deal will not be easy.

The report indicated that Torino will only open negotiations if an offer of 15 million euros is received. Simeone is under contract until June 2028, and he had a good season, scoring 11 goals in 35 matches, which strengthens the Italian club's desire to retain his services.
