Cooperation Star Refuses to Renew Contract with the Team

The club's management considered that the financial demands exceed the allocated budget and do not align with the team's economic capacity for the upcoming phase.

On the other hand, Martinez received interest from the ADNOC Pro League, with Sharjah Club and Al Wahda Club entering the race to sign him.

Al Wahda holds a moral advantage in the matter, having recently signed Brazilian coach Pericles Chamusca, who previously worked with Al Taawoun.

The Colombian striker joined Al-Taawoun at the beginning of 2025, coming from Racing Club in Argentina, seeking a new experience in the Saudi league.

The player had an impressive season with Al-Taawoun, participating in 34 matches across various competitions, scoring 24 goals and providing two decisive assists, making him one of the team's standout offensive elements.
