Arteta: We Missed the Chance to Win the Biggest Title, and No One Can Ease This for Us

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta appeared in a press conference following the loss in the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on penalties, after a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.

The coach said in his speech: "We haven't reached the UEFA Champions League final in 22 years, so imagine achieving this feat for the second time in our history. We must appreciate the season we've had, but at the moment, no one can ease the pain of our loss."

He added: "Paris Saint-Germain is a great team, and I congratulate them. They have outstanding individual skills and excellent coaching methods; they are a top-class team. We must go through these emotions, and if we feel pain, we must endure it."

He continued: "Consider the possibility of achieving something else, then learn from the experience. Reflect on it, and show the ambition we wish to regain."

Regarding his message to his team: "I am extremely proud of them, as we have performed this season despite these circumstances. We are fully aware of what we have been through."

He concluded: "It is a great honor to manage this group of players and this team. They carry this badge with pride and dignity, and they give their all for it. We have achieved a major title [the Premier League], but we missed the chance to win the bigger title."
