Marquinhos: We Trained on Arsenal's Set Pieces, and the Match's Course is Unpredictable

The Brazilian Marquinhos, captain of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed his team's readiness to face the English club Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final, emphasizing that the French team has thoroughly prepared for all aspects of the match, particularly the threat posed by set pieces, which the London team is known for.

Marquinhos said during the pre-match press conference: "It is always important to be motivated, and we have proven that this year as well. These are crucial moments."

The Paris Saint-Germain captain spoke about the preparations for the final match, saying: "The same emotions are still present during the preparation period, even after having gone through this experience before. These are the toughest matches because of all the challenges surrounding them."

Regarding the Spanish coach Luis Enrique, he said: "Almost everything he has instilled or created has proven successful. He is capable of preparing us tactically, mentally, and physically, which is why he is considered a top-tier coach."

Marquinhos also addressed Arsenal's threat from set pieces, emphasizing that the coaching staff had clearly worked on this aspect before the final. He said, "We have trained for this; we have played against them several times and know how difficult this team is."

He continued: "You cannot predict the course of the match, so you have to be prepared for everything. Any team you face will create problems for you at certain times, and the most important thing is how to adapt defensively and offensively and create opportunities."

Regarding the increasing talk about the World Cup, the Parisian team captain clarified: "We don't play in the Champions League final every season, and even if this is our second consecutive final, there are great players who have not had the opportunity to experience this."
