Napoli Considers Signing Iraola
Napoli Club has begun moving to choose its new coach after confirming the departure of Antonio Conte from leading the team, after a successful period during which he achieved the Italian league title in the 2024/2025 season, in addition to the Italian Super Cup 2025/2026.
The site 'Football Italia', quoting 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', mentioned that Napoli's management has more than one name on the selection table, led by Massimiliano Allegri, Milan's coach, and Vincenzo Italiano, Bologna's head coach, along with increasing interest in the Spanish Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth's coach.
The report indicated that Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli's president, preferred to bring back Maurizio Sarri to coach the team, but the Lazio coach is close to taking over Atalanta, where he may reunite with Napoli's former sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.
On the other hand, Italiano sparked controversy about his future with Bologna after hinting at the possibility of leaving at the end of the season, especially after the team's failure to secure a European spot.
The Italian coach said in his statements to the newspaper 'Repubblica': 'There is a possibility that I may not continue, I cannot deny that, I will meet with the club's management and we will talk about the future.'
