Gerard Martin: Angry About the Defeat and Our Decline Over Time

Gerard Martin, a defender for Barcelona, expressed his anger following his team's loss, stating that the team started the match well before their performance gradually declined during the game.

Martin sustained a severe head injury during the first half after a violent tackle that caused noticeable bleeding, forcing him to continue the match with a large bandage around his head.

Gerard Martin said about the injury: "The blow hurt me, at first I felt the pain, but I didn't realize the extent of the injury until I noticed the bleeding. I received treatment, got some stitches, and then continued playing."

The Barcelona defender spoke about his performance during the current season, saying: "I think I had a very good season. I started as a full-back and then played as a center-back, and I believe I competed at the level required by Barcelona."

He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the match result, despite it not affecting the team's standing, saying: "We were better at the start, but I'm angry because our performance declined as the minutes passed. I want to win every match, and this is the level of ambition that Flick demands from us."

Regarding the possibility of being called up to the national team in the upcoming period, Martin said: "On Monday, I will be in front of the TV. I believe I had a good season and have shown significant improvement."
