Inter Approaches Finalizing Solit Deal

Saturday 23-05-2026
Inter Milan continues its serious efforts to strengthen its defense line, following a positive meeting in recent days with Udinese's management in Milan to discuss the deal for French defender Omar Sollet.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Inter is currently working on a transfer arrangement that includes a loan with an obligation to purchase, which will be activated starting February 2027, in an attempt to facilitate a financial agreement between the two parties.

The reports added that Soulet has given his initial approval to sign a long-term contract with "Nerazzurri" that extends until the summer of 2031, with an annual salary estimated at 2.4 million euros.

The French defender is considered one of the most sought-after names at Inter this summer, especially after the strong performances he delivered with Udinese in the Italian league, which has attracted the interest of several European clubs in recent months.

Despite Udinese's insistence on keeping the player, the good relationship between the two clubs could play an important role in facilitating negotiations, especially since the Italian club's management had previously set the player's value at around 25 million euros.

It appears that Inter is looking to finalize the deal early as part of a plan to rebuild the defense line in preparation for the next season, with the possibility of some current defensive players leaving during the summer transfer window.
