Officially.. Hassan Abdulkarim Bids Farewell to Al-Zawraa

Hassan Abdulkarim 'Kokiya', the star of Al-Zawraa Club, announced the end of his journey with the 'Nawaris' after four seasons he spent with the team, coming from Al-Karkh, in a decision that sparked widespread interaction among the fans of the White Castle.

The player, who was one of the consistent names in Al-Zawraa's lineup, left the field on the final night of the season with an unforgettable moment.

After the end of the match against Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Hassan headed to the stands to bid farewell to the fans face to face, in a scene that seemed to be both an apology and gratitude. Those present in the stadium felt the impact on the player's face and the fans who chanted his name until the last moment.

Hassan Abdulkarim joined Al-Zawraa coming from Al-Karkh and took on the responsibility of making a difference in the forward line. During 4 years, he was present in most of the big matches, contributing clear numbers: 17 goal contributions this season alone, including 11 goals and 6 assists.

Despite this individual contribution, the player was unable to win any title with the 'Nawaris'. The absence of championships did not diminish his value to the fans; on the contrary, it made his departure more impactful on the stands and the coaching staff, as he was the first and most consistent performer.

Abdulkarim chose his official Instagram account to announce the news himself, with a message that carried a mix of sadness, gratitude, and mystery.

I leave unwillingly, not willingly, as there are those who forced us to leave even if our souls want to stay. And I will wait for the right moment to reveal everything!!!'

He added: 'Thank you for every moment I lived here, for every heart that chanted my name, and for every tear of joy and sorrow I shared with this great entity. Thank you to everyone who loves this club. You will remain in my heart one by one, and Al-Zawraa will remain a fixed piece in my heart.'

Kokiya revealed that he has local and international offers, but he postponed deciding his fate until after the end of the Iraqi national team's participation in the World Cup. This postponement gives him the opportunity to think calmly, especially with the interest he receives from more than one club inside and outside Iraq.
