The ideal lineup for the Saudi Roshn League for the 2025-2026 season sparked widespread controversy after several of the league's top stars were absent from the final list.

The global network "SofaScore" revealed its picks for the best players of the season, with strong surprises, most notably the exclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ivan Toney, and Salem Al-Dawsari.

The Portuguese Ruben Neves, Al-Hilal's midfielder, topped the list of highest-rated players during the season, achieving an average score of 7.85 according to global network statistics.

The ideal lineup included goalkeeper Anthony Morris, following the outstanding performances he delivered with Al-Khaleej throughout the season.

In defense, the trio of Danilo Pereira from Al-Ittihad, Kalidou Koulibaly from Al-Hilal, and Roger Ibañez from Al-Ahli were present.

As for the midfield, it saw the presence of Ruben Neves and Riyad Mahrez, in addition to Fortounis from Al-Khaleej, Musab Al-Juwair, the star of Al-Qadisiyah, and Yannick Carrasco, the winger of Al-Shabab.

On the front line, the network selected the duo Joao Felix from Al-Nassr and Julian Quinones from Al-Qadisiyah, following their remarkable performances during the past season.

The absence of Ronaldo, Toni, and Salem Al-Dawsari sparked a wave of widespread criticism among fans, especially after the impressive statistics the trio delivered with their clubs in various competitions.
