Fenerbahçe Moves Towards Maldini, Conte and Pioli Among New Project Options

Fenerbahçe Club has entered talks with the Italian legend Paolo Maldini to take on the position of the club's sporting director, in a move that could mark the beginning of a new and ambitious project within the Turkish giant.

According to reports circulating in Turkish and Italian media, Fenerbahçe officials held a meeting with Maldini in recent days to discuss the possibility of him joining the sports management and overseeing the restructuring of the team's technical project.

Sources indicated that Maldini, if the agreement is completed, wishes to contract an Italian coach to lead the team in the coming phase, with names like Antonio Conte and Stefano Pioli highlighted among the candidates to take over the coaching of Fenerbahçe.

Maldini is regarded as one of the prominent administrative names in European football, having played a pivotal role in building the AC Milan project that won the Italian league title in 2022 before his departure from the club.

Fenerbahçe also seeks to rebuild the team strongly after seasons of technical and administrative fluctuations, with a clear desire to attract European heavyweight names to return the club to winning platforms both locally and continentally.
