English club Crystal Palace is preparing to offer an improved contract to their French defender Maxence Lacroix during the summer transfer window, in an attempt to retain him amid growing interest from major clubs, most notably Chelsea and Liverpool, according to "TEAMtalk".

Lacroix joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024, coming from the German club Wolfsburg on a contract extending until 2029. Since his arrival, he has delivered strong performances that have led the club's management to consider improving his salary. He currently earns about £50,000 per week, with plans to nearly double this amount.

The player is having an outstanding season with the team, amidst increasing interest from several European clubs, in addition to his market value rising to an estimated 50 million pounds sterling.

The report clarified that Crystal Palace does not plan to sell the player at the moment and considers him one of the key pillars in its future project, despite strong competition from clubs within and outside England.
