Al-Ahli Overcomes Al-Taawoun with a Double and Strengthens Its Position in the Roshan League

Al-Ahli team secured an important away victory by defeating Al-Taawoun with a score of (2-1) in the match held on Monday evening as part of the 32nd round of the Saudi Roshan League.

The Englishman Ivan Toney opened the scoring early for Al-Ahli in the 17th minute, taking advantage of a perfect opportunity that gave him the lead and put his team in a comfortable position during the first half.

At the start of the second half, Al-Taawoun returned to the match atmosphere, as Frenchman Angelo Fulgini managed to equalize in the 55th minute, reigniting the encounter and restoring balance to the score.

The match continued at a close pace between the two teams, with mutual attempts to settle the encounter, amid a strong battle in the midfield and a clear desire to snatch the three points.

Minutes before the end of the match, Brazilian Roger Ibañez managed to score Al-Ahli's second goal in the 79th minute, following an organized attack that sealed the victory for "Al-Raqi."

Al-Ahly raised its tally to 75 points, strengthening its position in third place in the Roshan League standings, confirming its continued strong competition during the decisive stages of the season.

On the other hand, Al-Taawoun's balance froze at 52 points in sixth place, trailing by goal difference behind Al-Ittihad in fifth place, increasing the pressure on them in the remaining rounds.
