Tchouameni: Don't Believe Everything That's Said, Our Focus is on El Clasico

The French international and Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni issued an official statement on his Instagram account, in light of the intense dispute that occurred between him and his teammate Federico Valverde.

The Royal Club announced in an official statement that the players were fined 500,000 euros after a disciplinary case was opened against the duo following their fight during team training and in the locker room over the past two days.

Tchouameni said: "What happened this week in training is unacceptable. I say this thinking about the example we need to set for young people, whether in football or at school."

He added, "Regardless of who was right or wrong, we must always seek the calmest solution to resolve any dispute. Above all, I apologize for the image we have presented of the club."

He continued: "I know that the fans, the coaching staff, my teammates, the management, and everyone are very disappointed with the way this season has gone. But frustration cannot justify everything; these incidents, even if they happen in any locker room, are not befitting of Real Madrid. Especially since Real Madrid is the most talked-about club in the world."

He emphasized: "The internet loves to invent the most outrageous stories for the sake of hype, so don't believe everything that's said or the false narratives. In any case, now is not the time to figure out who did what, who said what, or who was right or wrong."

He continued: "I accept the club's punishment and agree with it. We are still a family, even if there are disagreements sometimes, but we must always put our goals above everything else. I have apologized to the group and I also want to apologize to all the Madrid fans."

He concluded: "It's time to move forward, and all our focus is on the Clasico and the remainder of the season to restore the club to its rightful place."
