Al-Wehda Achieves First Victory and Al-Sadd Stumbles with Exciting Draw in Yemeni League

The second round of the Yemeni league kicked off today with two matches, where Al-Wehda defeated Shabab Al-Bayda, and Al-Sadd drew with Al-Yarmouk in an exciting encounter that kept the top of the standings highly competitive early on.

Al-Wehda succeeded in returning with the full points from the field of its host, Al-Shabab Al-Baydani, after defeating them with two goals to none. "The Leader" waited until the 53rd minute to open the scoring through Imad Al-Jadima, before Suhail Al-Mansoub confirmed the victory by adding the second goal in the 89th minute. This earned Al-Wehda its first three points in the tournament, while Al-Shabab Al-Baydani's tally remained at 3 points.

In the second match, Al Sadd settled for a 1-1 draw against their guest, Al Yarmouk. The home team took the lead first through Abbas Al Khudr in the 34th minute, but Al Yarmouk came back in the second half with Osama Al Dahia scoring the equalizer in the 74th minute.

With this result, Al Sadd raised its tally to 4 points, temporarily leading the standings, while Al Yarmouk earned its first point in the competition, continuing the close start of the league among the teams at the end of the first matches of the second round.
