Saka Continues to Shine and Writes His Name in Champions League History
Bukayo Saka has etched his name in the history of the UEFA Champions League, after becoming only the fourth English player to score in two different semi-final matches of the tournament, during the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons.
This achievement came during Arsenal's match against Atletico Madrid, in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final, at the Emirates Stadium.
The first half of the match ended with Arsenal leading by one goal, scored by Saka in the 45th minute.
With this goal, Saka joined an elite list of English players, including Wayne Rooney (2006/2007 and 2010/2011), Frank Lampard (2003/2004 and 2007/2008), and Harry Kane (2023/2024 and 2025/2026), who have previously scored in the semi-finals of the tournament on multiple occasions.
Additionally, he has directly contributed to 14 goals in 14 Champions League matches at the Emirates Stadium (9 goals, 5 assists).
