Arteta: We Played Brilliantly, and That's What We Showed
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta spoke in a press conference following the 3-0 victory over Fulham in the 35th round of the English Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
The coach said in his speech: "I am very happy today. It was a very tough match. We returned from Madrid late Thursday evening. We gave our best in that match, and we had to play at a good level today."
He added, "I believe the team played brilliantly today. We controlled the game and showed the enthusiasm we talked about before the match. We have a chance to win two major championships. We are just a few games away from achieving that. The players feel a great sense of pride being in this position. They demonstrated today the kind of team we are."
Regarding the reaction of Arsenal fans: "This is exactly what we need. If we can create this harmony between the players, their performance, and the fans' interaction, we will become a very formidable opponent."
He elaborated on Bukayo Saka's return: "He made another step forward today. We have to be very cautious in how we involve him, but it was clear today what he can do."
He concluded about Miles Lewis-Skelly: "He has the ability to play in all positions, he is extremely talented. He had to wait and be humble, which is not easy considering what he did in the previous season. Today, he was rewarded for his behavior."
