Wydad Athletic Club announced in an official statement that it has mutually parted ways with coach Patrice Carteron, following an agreement between both parties to terminate the contract that had been binding them in the recent period.

The club stated: "Wydad Athletic Club announces to its loyal fans and all members of the club that it has decided to mutually part ways with coach Patrice Carteron, who was in charge of coaching the first team."

He added, "In this context, the club announces the appointment of Mohamed Benchrifa as the new coach of the first team until the end of the current sports season."

Benshrifa will work with the assistance of a technical team consisting of: Youssef Achami as assistant coach, Idriss Wajo as physical trainer, and Tarek El Jermouni as goalkeeping coach.
