Arsenal Plans to Sign Serbian Talent
Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed, according to what was reported by TEAMtalk network, that Arsenal has begun serious moves to sign young Serbian attacking midfielder Vasilije Kostov, a 17-year-old player from Red Star Belgrade.
Romano explained that Arsenal has contacted those close to the player and added that several Italian and German clubs are also monitoring the player, but Arsenal has entered the competition strongly, with a clear focus from the club's management on investing in young talents.
According to press reports, Red Star Belgrade may demand around 20 million euros to agree to sell the player, after receiving a similar offer earlier.
The general manager of the Serbian club said: 'We received an offer of 20 million euros for the player, and he is capable of playing for one of the top six clubs in England.'
