Conceição Penalizes Al-Ittihad Duo by Excluding Them from Matches
Thursday 30-04-2026
The Portuguese Sergio Conceição, the head coach of Al-Ittihad Club, made a decisive decision to exclude players from participating in matches as a disciplinary measure following incidents that occurred recently.

The journalist Abdulrahman Al-Humaidi revealed that the coach decided to exclude both Abdulrahman Al-Aboud and Hamed Al-Ghamdi from the team roster due to behaviors he deemed undisciplined during training sessions.

He explained that Al-Aboud missed one of the training sessions without justification and then returned late on subsequent occasions, prompting the coaching staff to assign him to individual training.

He added that the same situation was repeated with Hamed Al-Ghamdi, who also underwent an individual program following actions that occurred after the Riyadh match in the Roshn League.

Despite the duo's later return to group training, Conceição was not satisfied with that, preferring to exclude them until full discipline was restored.

In another context, the coach expressed his satisfaction after the victory over Al-Taawoun, affirming that his team delivered a balanced performance and succeeded in achieving the most important goal by securing the three points.

He pointed out that the current ambition is to finish the season in the positions qualifying for the Asian Champions League for the elite, although he emphasized that his mindset always leans towards competing for titles.
