Wednesday 29-04-2026
The Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation has issued a decision to suspend Real Zaragoza's goalkeeper, Esteban Andrada, for 13 matches after he struck Huesca player Jorge Pulido in the face during a match in the Spanish second division.

The details of the incident trace back to a derby match that witnessed significant tension, where Andrada was first sent off after pushing Pulido. The situation escalated when the goalkeeper returned to directly assault him with punches, leading to a mass brawl on the field in the final minutes.

The committee decided to impose a 12-match suspension due to the direct hit, in addition to an automatic match suspension resulting from the first red card, causing the Argentine goalkeeper on loan from Monterrey, Mexico, to be absent until the end of the season. This is a significant blow to Real Zaragoza in their struggle to avoid relegation.

The sanctions also included other players following the chaos that ensued after the incident. Huesca's goalkeeper Dani Jiménez was suspended for four matches, and Dani Tasende from Zaragoza for two matches. Ander Herrera later apologized, stating that what happened was "a bad image that does not befit him as a professional player, the club, or the fans."
