Paris Saint-Germain Plans Massive Deal to Sign Arsenal Defender
Saturday 25-04-2026
Press reports, citing 'Fichajes', have revealed that Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to make a substantial financial offer worth up to 100 million euros to sign French defender William Saliba from Arsenal.

This move is part of coach Luis Enrique's plan, who aims to build a project based on French identity, with Saliba being one of the key targets on the Parisian club's list during the upcoming transfer window.

According to the same source, Paris Saint-Germain plans to strongly reinforce its defensive line to compete for European titles, believing that signing Saliba could be a significant step in this direction, especially after the levels he has shown in the English Premier League.

The Parisian club also sees that adding Saliba alongside defender Willian Pacho could provide the team with great defensive solidity, helping them implement a style based on high pressure and possession.

The report indicated that Paris Saint-Germain is considering making an offer close to 100 million euros to convince Arsenal's management to part with the player, while the English club remains committed to his services.

The French club faces difficulty in completing the deal, given that Saliba's contract with Arsenal extends until 2030, in addition to coach Mikel Arteta's insistence on keeping him as an essential and non-transferable element in the team's project.

Despite this, Paris Saint-Germain does not rule out making a strong move during the summer transfer market, in an attempt to secure one of the most prominent defensive deals in European football.
