Death of former Tunisian Esperance star Eneramo

The Tunisian club Espérance Sportive de Tunis announced the death of their former star Michael Eneramo at the age of 41.

Tunisian radio station Mosaique reported that Enramo's death occurred due to a sudden heart attack while he was exercising.

The Esperance Sports Club stated: "With hearts filled with sorrow, Esperance Sportive de Tunis mourns its former Nigerian player Michael Eneramo, who passed away after an exceptional career that will remain etched in the memory of the club and its fans for generations."

He continued: "Enramo was not just a player who passed through the history of Esperance, but he was a symbol of strength, determination, and perseverance, and one of the names that created unforgettable moments on the football fields, raising the club's flag high in memorable football milestones."

He added, "He has lived great moments of joy with the Esperance fans, and decisive goals that are still recounted to this day, and his name remains associated with the fighting spirit and true loyalty to the club's jersey."

The statement continued: "As Espérance Sportive de Tunis bids farewell to one of its own today, it extends its sincerest condolences to the family of the deceased and his loved ones, as well as to everyone who knew him and shared in his sporting and humanitarian journey, hoping that God grants his family patience and strength to overcome this painful loss."

He concluded: "Michael Eneramo will remain a part of Esperance's memory and in the hearts of its fans, who will never forget the dedication and loyalty he showed on the field."
