Columbus Crew Announces Successful ACL Surgery for Wissam Abu Ali
The American club Columbus Crew announced that Palestinian forward Wissam Abu Ali has successfully undergone knee surgery following a recent injury that resulted in a torn cruciate ligament and cartilage during his participation with the team.
The club stated in an official announcement on its Facebook account: "Wisam Abu Ali underwent a successful surgery to treat his cruciate ligament and cartilage injury."
Columbus Crew added in its statement: "As previously announced, Abu Ali will be absent for the entire 2026 season with the team."
The American club had earlier announced that the Palestinian forward suffered a torn ACL in his knee, after undergoing medical examinations following an injury during one of the team's matches against Orlando, where he left the game on a stretcher.
Abu Ali was seen after the match walking with crutches, affected by the severe injury he sustained, which officially ended his season.
