USM Alger Player: We Will Prepare Strongly to Face Zamalek and Play with the Ambition to Win
Ahmed Khaldi, the star of the Algerian USM Alger team, confirmed that his team will play with the ambition to win against Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup final.
USM Alger qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup final after drawing with Morocco's Olympique Safi, with a goal for each team.
The first leg of the match ended in a goalless draw (0-0) at the Algerian team's stadium.
Ahmed Khalidi said during statements on "beIN Sports" channel: "I extend a big salute to our fans for their immense support; they have been a great pillar."
He added: "USM Alger has the upper hand in this edition of the Confederation Cup, especially away from home, and this has helped us."
He continued: "We succeeded in taking advantage of the away goal rule, and the players gave their all to overcome the tough events that occurred during the match."
He continued: "We will try to win the Confederation Cup for the second time in our history, after we claimed the title in 2023, which is an achievement for Algerian football."
