The Moroccan team Olympique Safi was unable to reach the final of the CAF Confederation Cup after drawing 1-1 with their guest, USM Alger, in the second leg of the semi-finals.

The Algerian team secured qualification by benefiting from the advantage of away goals, after the first leg ended in a goalless draw (0-0).

USM Alger managed to open the scoring during stoppage time of the first half, through Ahmed Khaldi from a penalty kick.

In the second half, Olympique Safi intensified their efforts in search of an equalizer and succeeded in achieving it in the 75th minute through Moussa Koné.

Despite the draw, it was not enough for the Moroccan team, which exited the competition, while USM Alger secured its spot in the final. They will face Egypt's Zamalek in an anticipated home-and-away match to determine the champion of the current edition of the continental tournament.
