Enrique: Vitinha's Injury is Not Good, and the Title Race Will Be Tough
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique appeared in a press conference following his team's 1-2 loss to Lyon at the Parc des Princes, in the 30th round of the French league.
Luis Enrique said: "Analyzing the match is very easy. We started the game trying to take control, but we conceded two goals from the first two chances, and then we realized that things would be complicated."
He added: "We shot 23 times and only scored on the last attempt, and we missed a penalty again, which made the difference. We tried to change the pace of the game but didn't succeed. Lyon played a great match and has players and a coach of a high level; we have to accept that."
Regarding Lens reducing the gap to one point with one less game than Paris Saint-Germain: "I don't know, it's just like that, you wanted a more competitive league? Well, here you have it. Lens is having a great season, and the battle will be tough until the end."
The Spanish coach explained that the pressure of the matches was the reason for the rotation, saying: "We changed six players, and we will continue to do so in the upcoming matches because we will be playing consecutive games every three days."
He concluded regarding Vitinha's injury, adding: "There is no positive news. When you have to substitute him before the end of the first half, it's not a good sign. We will conduct tests and see what happens."
