Legal advisor Ahmed Al-Sheikhi revealed developments in the case of Brazilian Renan Lodi with Al-Hilal Club, confirming that the case is considered one of the most complex disputes at present.

He explained that the crisis began after the player unilaterally terminated his contract, prompting the club to take legal action and file an official complaint to protect its rights.

He pointed out that Lodi responded with a counteraction, filing a countersuit, which led the case into a complex legal path between the two parties.

Sheikhi explained that the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) decided to merge the two cases into a single file, with the aim of studying all aspects comprehensively before issuing a judgment.

He added that Al Hilal submitted a legal memorandum in response to the player's position, before Lodi strengthened his stance with an additional memorandum as part of the mutual proceedings.

He concluded by emphasizing that the case is still under review by FIFA, with no final decision issued yet, in one of the cases described as difficult and complex.
