Saturday 18-04-2026
Real Madrid's management is going through an important phase of planning for the future, given two consecutive seasons without winning any titles. This makes the decisions in the upcoming period more sensitive, especially concerning the fate of the coaching staff.

According to the Portuguese newspaper "Record," the Portuguese coach José Mourinho, currently the head coach of Benfica, is monitoring the developments within the Spanish club regarding the future of its technical leadership.

Reports indicate that the position of head coach remains open at Real Madrid, with ongoing discussions about the future of the current coach, amid declining results and failure to achieve goals over the past two seasons.

Sources have also reported that an upcoming meeting within the club, involving club president Florentino Perez and some prominent figures like Álvaro Arbeloa, could be influential in determining the final direction regarding this matter.

According to the same reports, Mourinho's name is still among the potential options, despite there being no official contacts so far, as he has not been directly approached up to this point.

At the same time, the Portuguese coach enjoys support from some Real Madrid fans, especially since he previously led the team to win the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey during his previous tenure.

Reports have also indicated that Mourinho is open to the idea of returning to the club in the future, but there are no official negotiations at the moment.

Alongside Mourinho, the Real Madrid management is considering several other names, including Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Jürgen Klopp, and Mauricio Pochettino, in the search for the most suitable decision for the upcoming period.
