The Spanish player Gavi continues to deliver outstanding performances with FC Barcelona, enhancing his chances of being included in the Spanish national team's squad for the upcoming World Cup, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."

The midfielder has shown remarkable improvement in his performance recently, having received regular playing time in major matches under Flick's leadership, whether as a left winger or a central midfielder, delivering outstanding performances at the highest level.

The newspaper indicated that this development has not gone unnoticed by the coaching staff of the Spanish national team, led by Luis de la Fuente, who is closely monitoring the player's performance, as his chances of joining the World Cup squad, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, are increasing.

De la Fuente had expressed his appreciation for Gavi during the last camp, confirming that he communicated with him on several occasions and sent him a congratulatory message after his return from injury. In the same context, the player revealed in an interview that the national team coach made sure to check on him several times during his recovery period.

The La Roja coach confirmed that Gavi is still part of his plans, emphasizing his great capabilities, saying: "He is a very special player, and we can expect many positive things from him."

He added that the upcoming period will witness a final assessment of the players' level before announcing the list, expressing his hope that Gavi will be included.

Gavi returned to the field on March 15 during the match against Sevilla, after being absent since the end of August. He then participated in several important matches, including encounters with Atletico Madrid in the league and the Champions League, where he played a significant role, whether as a substitute or a starter.

The player also started against Espanyol, playing for 64 minutes, as part of gradually regaining match rhythm, which aligns with the national team's coaching staff's desire to provide him with quality playing time.
