Zamalek achieved a victory over Chabab Belouizdad with a score of 1-0 in a match held this Friday evening at Nelson Mandela Stadium in the first leg of the African Confederation Cup semifinal.

Juan Pizera scored Zamalek's goal in the 28th minute of the match.

Zamalek qualified for the semifinal after overcoming the obstacle of Otoho, the champion of Congo Brazzaville, after a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the quarterfinal and a 2-1 victory in the second leg in Cairo.

Meanwhile, Chabab Belouizdad qualified at the expense of Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg and a goalless draw in the second leg in Algeria.

The return leg of the African Confederation Cup semifinal between Zamalek and Chabab Belouizdad will take place on Friday, April 17th.
