Milan Sets Plan to Sign Goretzka
Thursday 09-04-2026
Italian press reports revealed AC Milan's plan to sign the German player Leon Goretzka, Bayern Munich's midfielder, before the start of the upcoming summer transfer window, as his contract with the Bavarian club ends in June 2026.

The newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' indicated that Goretzka, 31 years old, is seeking a 3-year contract once his current contract ends, to which Milan responded by setting a plan to ensure his signing within this period, similar to what they did with French player Adrien Rabiot, who signed a three-year contract last summer at the age of 30.

Milan emerges as the only club capable of offering a 3-year contract to Goretzka, while competitors like Juventus are likely to offer only a two-year contract. This move is a free transfer in terms of transfer value, but it won't be an easy economic deal for the Italian club.

'Tutto Sport' newspaper revealed that Goretzka plans to secure an annual salary of 7 million euros, in addition to a signing bonus of 10 million euros, making the total cost of the deal reach 31 million euros over three years.

Milan's interest in Goretzka reflects the club's pursuit to strengthen its midfield with an experienced player capable of providing the required technical addition, especially in light of the team's preparations for the next season and competition for titles locally and in Europe.
