The journalist Gamal El-Ghandour revealed that the coaching staff of Zamalek intends to exclude the team's goalkeeper, Mohamed Sobhi, from the team's matches until the end of the season.

He added during his program "Stad Al-Mehwar": "The coaching staff sees the necessity of canceling the rotation policy among goalkeepers to achieve defensive stability, especially with the decisive matches in the league and the Confederation Cup."

He continued: "The coaching staff decided to rely on Mehdi Suleiman as the main goalkeeper after his consistent performance recently, while Mohamed Awad will be the backup goalkeeper, given his commitment since returning to the team. Mohamed Sobhi will be the third-choice goalkeeper, which reduces his chances of participating in upcoming matches."

Zamalek will face CR Belouizdad next Friday in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.
