Arsenal secured a valuable 1-0 victory over their host Sporting Lisbon in the match held at José Alvalade Stadium, as part of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The match saw Arsenal dominate the proceedings, as the team tried to impose its attacking style and pressure Sporting's defense, ultimately succeeding in scoring the first and only goal of the match in the 90+1 minute through Kai Havertz.

On the other hand, Sporting Lisbon relied on counter-attacking attempts and threatened Arsenal's goal on several occasions, but none of the chances were converted into goals.

The second leg is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 15, at 9:00 PM Cairo time, at the Emirates Stadium, where both teams will be vying for a spot in the semi-finals.
