Zamalek Rejects Awad's Request to Reduce Penalty
Wednesday 01-04-2026
The "Youm7" newspaper revealed that the Zamalek management rejected goalkeeper Mohamed Awad's request to reduce the penalty recently imposed on him.

According to the newspaper, Zamalek refused to retract the financial penalty imposed on Mohamed Awad, after it was approved by the board of directors based on legal investigations and the recommendation of the football department.

Zamalek had imposed a penalty on the player after he objected to sitting on the bench. Awad requested a reduction in the financial fine, as the goalkeeper considered the amount to be large, reaching 800,000 Egyptian pounds.

Zamalek is preparing to face Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi next Sunday in the first round of the second phase in the championship group of the Egyptian Premier League.
