Tottenham Hotspur is close to announcing its new coach, following the departure of manager Igor Tudor a few days ago, after a period during which he did not achieve any victory with the London team.

According to the British network 'Sky Sports', Tottenham is close to signing Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi to lead the team in the upcoming period.

The network explained that negotiations between the club's management and the former Brighton coach witnessed significant progress on Monday evening, bringing the two parties closer to reaching a final agreement.

Tottenham hopes that De Zerbi will lead the team out of its current situation, especially in light of the declining results and the fear of relegation in the English Premier League, after a difficult period during which the team did not achieve any victory for 44 days under Tudor's leadership.

Reports indicated that the club's management succeeded in convincing De Zerbi to take on the task, after his departure from coaching Marseille last February. He is expected to become the third coach to lead the team this season, with his first match possibly against Sunderland on Sunday, April 12, in the English Premier League.
