Bitarach Chooses to Represent the Spanish National Team
Real Madrid's young midfielder Thiago Petarch has clarified his stance on his international future, affirming his desire to represent Spain despite the Moroccan Football Federation's interest in recruiting him.
The player said in statements to the official media of the Spanish Federation: "My dream is to play with Spain's national team and win titles."
Betarch indicated that his presence with Spain's under-21 team reflects his ambition to reach the highest level with "La Roja," adding: "If I am here, it is because I want to reach the top. Step by step."
This stance comes in response to the Moroccan national team's attempts to persuade the player to represent the "Atlas Lions," especially since he is eligible to play for Morocco due to his family origins.
The Real Madrid player also spoke about his feelings after being called up to the national team, saying: "I am very happy. I am living a dream with the club and the national team. I have worked for this moment since I started playing football."
Regarding how he handles media attention, he said, "I try not to think too much about it. I deal with the situation naturally. We are a humble family, and we don't exaggerate the matter."
He elaborated on the details of his daily routine, saying: "I train, then I go to school, and after that, I return to training again. I am now in my second year of high school and I am trying to get my diploma, as it is always important to have something else besides football."
He concluded by saying, "I don't want it to seem like I'm the star. I just want to be a player like the rest of my teammates."
