Al-Hamdan Refutes Renard's Statements on the Attack Crisis
Friday 27-03-2026
Abdullah Al-Hamdan, the Saudi national team striker, expressed a different viewpoint from his coach Hervé Renard regarding the existence of an offensive crisis within the "Green Falcons."

The Saudi national team is preparing for a strong friendly match against the Egyptian national team at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Friday evening, as part of the preparation program for upcoming commitments.

Al-Hamdan affirmed in his statements that the team is entering the match with high spirits, emphasizing the players' desire to achieve a positive result against a strong and experienced opponent.

The Green Falcons' striker clarified that talk of a crisis in the forward position is inaccurate, noting that the team works in a balanced manner between defense and attack during matches.

He added that the team has succeeded in scoring in most of its recent matches, emphasizing that all the players are putting in their utmost effort to deliver the best possible performance.

On the other hand, Renard had previously pointed out a lack of attacking options due to the limited participation of local strikers with their clubs in the Roshan League.

The Saudi national team continues its preparations, as it will play a second friendly match against the Serbian team in Belgrade on March 31, as part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
