Zamalek Imposes Penalty on Team Goalkeeper

Tamer Abdel Hamid, the former Egyptian football star, revealed that the Zamalek management decided to impose a penalty on Mohamed Sobhi, the Zamalek goalkeeper, after he was sent off against Otoho of Congo.

Tamer Abdel Hamid stated on Facebook: "A source within Zamalek confirmed that the football management has decided to impose a hefty fine on the team's goalkeeper, Mohamed Sobhi, following his expulsion during the match against Otoho of Congo."

Zamalek defeated Otoho 2-1 in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

The match witnessed the expulsion of Mohamed Sobhi after he struck an opposing player off the ball following Otouho's goal to reduce the deficit, prompting the referee to immediately show the red card.
