Espérance Sportive de Tunis achieved a 3-2 victory over Al Ahly of Egypt in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals, which took place this evening, Saturday, at the Cairo International Stadium.
Florian Danho, Mohamed Amine Tougai, and Hamza Jelassi scored the goals for Esperance in the 68th, 78th, and 90+4 minutes.
Al Ahly's goals came from Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet in the 10th minute and an own goal by Hamza Jelassi, a player from Esperance, in the 84th minute.
The first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between the two teams ended with Esperance winning 1-0.
As a result of the home and away matches, Esperance de Tunis qualifies for the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League to face the winner between Mamelodi Sundowns and Stade Malien.
