Al-Zawraa Overcomes Amanat Baghdad with Difficulty in the League

Al-Zawraa team achieved a difficult and thrilling victory over its guest Amanat Baghdad with a score of (3-2), in the match that took place on the grounds of Al-Zawraa Stadium in the capital, Baghdad, as part of the postponed 18th round of the Iraqi Stars League, in a confrontation that witnessed great excitement and clear fluctuations in the course of play.

Al-Zawraa opened the scoring early through player Bryan Riascos in the tenth minute, giving his team an early advantage that put them ahead from the first minutes, before Amanat Baghdad succeeded in returning to the atmosphere of the match in the 31st minute, after a penalty was awarded and successfully executed by Bakhtiyor Kuseimov, bringing the match back to a draw.

Al-Zawraa did not leave an opportunity for its opponent to catch its breath, as Mohammed Qasim managed to score the second goal in the 45th minute, restoring the lead for the home team, before Jordanian defender Abdullah Naseeb added the third goal in the 46th+ minute, ending the first half with a lead of three goals to one.

At the start of the second half, the task became more difficult for Amanat Baghdad, especially after its Gambian defender Lamin Samata received a direct red card in the 53rd minute, following his intervention on Al-Zawraa striker Riascos, after a video review, increasing the suffering of the visiting team in returning to the score.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Jabbar Karim managed to reduce the gap for Amanat Baghdad in the 62nd minute, reviving his team's hope for a comeback. However, matters became more complicated after another player from Amanat Baghdad, Ahmed Noor, was sent off in the 72nd minute, forcing the team to finish the match with nine players.

Conversely, the last minutes were not free of tension, as the match also witnessed the sending off of Al-Zawraa's substitute defender Durgham Ismail in the 88th minute, in a confrontation characterized by intensity and physical struggle between the two teams, ending with three red cards and a great deal of events.

Al-Zawraa ultimately managed to maintain its lead, securing a valuable victory that boosts its position in the standings, raising its tally to 42 points to advance to sixth place, while Amanat Baghdad's tally froze at 21 points, remaining in eighteenth place, as it seeks to improve its results in the upcoming rounds.
