Thursday 19-03-2026
Michael Carrick, the manager of Manchester United, urged his players to prepare for a tough away match against Bournemouth as part of the 31st round of the English Premier League, as the team aims to continue its positive results and maintain its chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

Manchester United is experiencing a remarkable period since Carrick took over temporarily last January until the end of the season, with the team advancing to third place in the league standings.

United will visit Bournemouth, who are in tenth place, on Friday evening in a match considered a tough test for both teams, especially given the strong results achieved by the hosts, who have not lost in their last 10 league matches.

In the pre-match press conference, Carrick said: "It's a tough match, it's a tough ground, and they are going through a great period, so yes, it's a tough match."

He continued: "We go there on a good run, everyone is in excellent condition, but things are always complicated there, they have always been and will likely remain so."

He added: "We know that, they are a very good team, with a manager in a great way and a lot of energy, and we know we will have a real battle on Friday."

Regarding the team's results away from home, he said: "Whether at home or away, we don't think about it much, we focus only on the next match."

He concluded his remarks by saying: "It's nice to win at home and build confidence, to play at Old Trafford with a positive feeling, and for the fans to feel that too and leave satisfied."
