The Spanish Football Federation decided to play a friendly match against the Serbian national football team on March 27, to compensate for the cancellation of the "Finalissima" match that was supposed to be held against the Argentine national football team, the Copa America champion.

The European champion Spain national football team was scheduled to meet its Argentine counterpart in the "Finalissima" match between the champions of the two continents, before the match was canceled due to organizational difficulties and the inability to agree on a suitable date for it.

The La Ceramica Stadium in the city of Villarreal will host the friendly match during the international break in March, as part of the Spanish national team's preparations for upcoming commitments.
