Monday 16-03-2026
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has scheduled the Saudi national football team's trip to Belgrade for a friendly match against the Serbian national team as part of their preparation program for the 2026 World Cup.

The Saudi delegation is scheduled to depart on March 28th to Serbia, with the friendly match between the two teams set to take place on the 31st of the same month.

The team is expected to return to its headquarters immediately after the match, as part of a specific preparation schedule before the world championship.

Coach Hervé Renard will select a squad of 23 players from the national team to travel to Belgrade for the anticipated match.

On the other hand, the rest of the players will remain in Jeddah to continue training during the preparatory camp until its conclusion.

Before facing Serbia, the Green team will play another friendly match against the Egyptian national football team on March 27 in Jeddah.

The matches were initially planned to be held in Qatar, but their location was changed due to tensions in the region related to the situation between the United States, Israel, and Iran.

The Saudi national team is in Group H of the World Cup alongside the Spanish national football team, the Uruguayan national football team, and the Cape Verde national football team.
