The Tunisian club Esperance issued a warning through its official platforms hours before the start of its match against Egypt's Al Ahly.

Esperance faces Al Ahly this evening, Sunday, in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.

The historical champion of Tunisia stated in an official announcement: "Espérance Sportive de Tunis informs that following the security forces' discovery of counterfeit tickets being circulated outside official ticket sales channels, which led to the arrest of some of the promoters of these tickets, the club confirms that it bears no financial or moral responsibility for the sale, purchase, or use of these tickets."

He continued: "The Tunisian sports club, Espérance Sportive de Tunis, also reminds that the use or distribution of counterfeit tickets exposes their holders to the legal consequences stipulated by law in cases of forgery and counterfeiting."
