The Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri is nearing a return to Al-Ittihad's training sessions after continuing his rehabilitation program to recover from the injury that recently kept him from fully participating with the team.

The Union is preparing for an important match against the Riyadh team as part of the 26th round of the Saudi Professional League's Roshn Championship.

During the last training session, En-Nesyri limited himself to running exercises around the field without participating in the group training, due to feeling some physical fatigue.

Press reports indicated that the player is close to rejoining group training ahead of the anticipated match.

En-Nesyri has been leading the attack for Al-Ittihad since his transfer to the team during the last winter transfer window, coming from the Turkish club Fenerbahçe.

Since joining "Al-Ameed," the Moroccan striker has participated in seven matches, during which he scored three goals and provided one assist.

The Union is scheduled to meet with Riyadh on the evening of Friday, March 13, at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in the capital, Riyadh.

Al-Ittihad holds the sixth position in the league standings with 42 points, while the Riyadh team is in the sixteenth position with 16 points after 25 rounds.
