Medical Examination Determines Al-Aqeedi's Fate in Upcoming Matches
Wednesday 11-03-2026
Al-Nassr Club is awaiting the results of the medical examination that goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi will undergo, in order to determine his final position on returning to the team's group training sessions.

Al-Aqeedi will undergo a thorough medical examination today, Wednesday, under the supervision of Carlos Miguel, the Portuguese doctor of Al-Nassr Club, to assess his health condition.

The purpose of this examination is to determine whether the goalkeeper is ready to resume training with the team or needs to continue his rehabilitation program in the upcoming period.

Al Aqidi is still undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the club's clinic due to back pain that has recently kept him from participating in the team's matches.

Al-Nassr is facing a clear crisis in the goalkeeper position following the injury of Al-Aqidi, in addition to goalkeeper Raghed Al-Najjar suffering a cruciate ligament tear.

This situation prompted the coaching staff to call up two goalkeepers from the youth team to compensate for the shortage in this critical position.

Nawaf Al-Aqidi played 12 matches with Al-Nassr during the current season, conceding 12 goals and successfully keeping a clean sheet in four matches.

Al-Nassr tops the Saudi Roshn League standings with 64 points, accumulated from 21 victories, one draw, and three losses.
