Al Ahly's management has decided to extend the contract of the team's winger, Taher Mohamed Taher, following reports linking the player to a potential departure at the end of the current season.

The newspaper "Al-Watan" reported that the football officials within the Red Castle decided to renew Taher Mohamed's contract in appreciation of his contributions to the team in the past period, allowing him to continue his journey with Al-Ahly for the next three seasons.

The newspaper indicated that the player will sign his new contract at the start of the next football season, receiving a first-tier salary within the team, amounting to 20 million pounds annually, after previously being in the second tier in past years.

The decision to extend comes amid recent controversy regarding his future, especially with his lack of regular participation in some matches, which has opened the door to speculation about his departure in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Taher Mohamed Taher, who is 28 years old, is under contract with Al Ahly until June 2027, prior to the anticipated extension agreement.
