Juventus Plans to Renew Locatelli's Contract
Tuesday 03-03-2026
The newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' confirmed that Juventus is seeking to grant its captain Manuel Locatelli a new and improved contract, following the official announcement of extending Weston McKennie's contract last Monday until the summer of 2030.

Juventus has recently granted new contracts to several of its key players, most notably the young star Kenan Yildiz, whose salary increased from 1.7 million euros to about 6 million euros per season, reflecting his prominent status within the team. McKennie also signed a long-term contract with the Bianconeri, after being in the final year of his current contract.

The issue of contract extensions continues to be a focus of attention within Juventus, especially since the long-term future of Italian coach Luciano Spalletti has not been determined yet. Meanwhile, the club's highest-paid player, Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, may leave the team for free at the end of the season if no agreement is reached on a new contract. Veteran goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio is also undergoing contract extension discussions.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus plans to renew Locatelli's contract in the near future. His current contract runs until the summer of 2028 after he signed a five-year extension in 2023, earning a net salary of approximately 3.5 million euros per season.

Sources added that Locatelli has become an increasingly pivotal player since Spalletti took over the team, which has strengthened the relationship between the coach and the player. Both show a desire to continue long-term with the Bianconeri to enhance the team's future in the coming seasons.
