The "CaughtOffside" website revealed that Barcelona is not the only club interested in signing Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, as both Arsenal and Liverpool have joined the race to monitor the Italian international's situation in preparation for a possible move to sign him.

According to the report, Liverpool sees Bastoni as a suitable option to be a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk, while Arsenal believes that the Italian defender aligns with the playing style adopted by coach Mikel Arteta.

Previous reports had linked Barcelona's name with the player, and the Catalan team's defender, Pau Cubarsi, publicly praised the potential of Bastoni, who is 26 years old.

The current contract of Inter's defender extends until June 2028, while the Italian club has expressed its readiness to offer a new deal to extend his contract until 2030, in a move aimed at securing his continued presence with the team.

Bastoni is considered a key player in Inter's lineup, having participated in 33 matches across various competitions this season, during which he scored two goals and provided six assists.

On the international stage, the Italian defender played 41 matches for his national team, scoring three goals and winning the UEFA Euro 2020 title, which enhances his value in the transfer market.
