The former Egyptian football star and media personality Ahmed Hassan revealed the reason for the exclusion of Zamalek player Ahmed Hamdy from the team's recent matches.
Hassan said on Facebook: "Source... There is no problem between Ahmed Hamdi and the football management behind his exclusion in the past period. The management halted the renewal process from the start due to the financial crisis."
Zamalek succeeded in defeating Pyramids with a 1-0 victory on Sunday in the twentieth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek currently leads the Premier League standings with 40 points, while Pyramids is in second place with 37 points.
